UltraTune is a car service franchise which commenced operations in 1979 with a pilot outlet in Box Hill, Melbourne. It expanded rapidly and in 1982 the founder of the Company split the business into State organisations; (South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland) which were purchased by local groups of franchisees in each State.
Whilst the South Australian group remained independent, the three (3) Eastern States again merged in 1988 to form UltraTune Systems (Australia) Pty Limited which then expanded to Western Australia and now has grown to become a national franchise company with 200 franchise outlets operated by well trained and experienced technicians.
UltraTune began with a fixed price tune and lube service and now provides both fleet and private motorists with a full range of fixed priced services, each designed to be performed in a structured series of operating procedures which ensure faster, more efficient and cost effective service.
It was found that many cars were not tuneable without mechanical repairs of some sort and thus the services offered to motorists grew to encompass full servicing and all mechanical repairs. The menu services offered remain fixed price and mechanical repairs are quoted separately.
The Company employs specialist personnel from all relevant disciplines to provide first class back up and support to franchise owners. Key administrative staff are professionals from accounting, financial management or marketing backgrounds. Technical and training staff are highly qualified; some having previously owned and operated or managed a franchise. They are constantly being updated and instructed on the latest technical innovations and procedures. Ultra Tune is considered to be the industry leader in its technical field.
